It is 'rainy season' here (also known as hurricane season). Young people take the opportunity for a little play time after a recent downpour.
Our street and yard were flooded last night after a large rainstorm (though the water never threatened our porch as it does sometimes).
We often have large storms, rain, and flooding this time of year, but we do not make list for the top five locations hit by milld or severe hurricanes.
We get the latest hurricane information from the National Hurricane Center,
whose website we check nearly daily from around July through December. The official hurriccane season runs from 1 June to 30 November (though major storms are occurring into December and even January recently).
