Last Sunday at Iglesia Buen Pastor, Bishop Isaac celebrated a Eucharist honoring 20 years of work in the Dominincan Republic by the Community of the Transfiguration (an Episcopal order of Nuns from Glendale, OH).

 

Some of the "kids" have grown quite a bit in 20 years. 

 

Actually, the Community first sent Sisters here in 1979 after Hurricane David and has been here more or less continuously since 1984. However, their "official" on-going presence began in 1989.
