And now for something enitrely different ...
 
During our first summer here in 2000, it was hot. We had electricity only about 6 hours a day (we have never had air conditioning here, but without electricity we couldn't even run a fan).
 
Elizabeth was five years old at that time. One aftenoon, she had had enough. She filled a cooler with water and sat in it on the porch. 
 

Her smile says it all.

 

 

 

 

 

Elizabeth has always loved the water (long summer evenings in a swimming pool at a park in Cincinnati).

 

She took an immediate liking to the Caribbean Sea and spent hours snorkeling when we had the chance to go to the beach here.

 

However, snorkeling in a bucket seems as though it is taking it too far!
